A free virtual workshop on supporting Durham’s youngest children
Building on the first two training topics in this series, Part III further explores the role of the caregiver in providing support to very young children who have experienced trauma or traumatic stress. In this session, participants will:
- Explore the role of co-regulation in helping infants and young children cope with stress and trauma.
- Identify and support developmentally appropriate coping skills for very young children.
- Understand and practice using appropriate language to talk to young children about traumatic events.
