More than 3,600 children in NC have lost a caregiver to COVID-19, many of these children just starting out their own social, emotional, and relational lives.
Supporting a young child while they try to understand death’s permanence and cope with their intense feelings of grief at the loss of their loved one is tremendously difficult.
This training, incorporating didactic and discussion and led by Dr. Mary Wise-Kriplani, will offer guidance on how to support grieving young children, as well as a classroom full of their peers.
