Webinar: Trauma-Informed Communities and COVID-19

Thanks to continued support from the NC Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services, CCFH faculty and staff offered a webinar on COVID-19 for those involved in the NC Trauma-Informed Communities Project. Participants included current and past trauma-informed community partners, as well as system of care coordinators outside these learning communities, and representatives from the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services.

The webinar focused on emerging lessons on trauma and COVID-19, and provided participants an opportunity to share their successes and challenges with regard to the current crisis. CCFH faculty also shared the latest resources from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and other partners on supporting families during COVID-19.

A recording of the webinar is available below, and we hope other agencies and professionals who serve children and families will find it helpful as you navigate how to support your community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
