The READY Project and Healthy Families Durham at CCFH are enrolling new families in Attachment and Biobehavioral Catchup (ABC). ABC is a 10-session home visiting program focused on building the attachment and connection between parents and very young children. ABC helps parents see what they’re already doing right and build on those skills!
ABC is available for any Durham County family with a child age 6 months to 4 years old. The program is free and available in English and Spanish. ABC sessions are typically provided in the home for one hour each week for ten weeks. During the COVID pandemic, families will participate in ABC through video sessions with their parent coach.
ABC is designed for children and families who have experienced adversities (e.g. separation, parental mental health issues, or family violence), but may be helpful to any parent or caregiver who wants to form a stronger, healthier relationship with their young child.
If you would like to learn more about ABC for your family or a family you work with, please complete the interest form or call Shristi Tiwari at (919) 385-0769. CCFH will connect each family with the ABC provider that best meets their needs.
