Learning and Empowerment for Adoptive Families (LEAF) Group Starting Soon!

Adoptive parents and children can thrive when they get the specialized support they need from therapists and families who understand their journey. That’s why we are offering a FREE 10-week workshop that will empower families to learn more about adoption-focused communication, complex emotional responses, and advocacy about adoption outside the family.

What is LEAF?

LEAF is a 10-week interactive group designed for children ages 10-17 who are adopted and their parents

A space for children to:

• Meet other children who have been adopted
• Learn to express their feelings about adoption
• Learn strategies to share questions about adoption
• Build confidence in talking about adoption with their family members as well as others
• Play games and have fun!

A space for parents to:

• Connect with other adoptive parents
• Increase their comfort and confidence in discussing adoption with their child
• Explore ways to enhance their strengths as a parent
• Learn tools to help their children navigate emotions related to adoption.

Who should attend?

Adoptive families with children between the ages of 10-17 who are able to attend each week of a 10-week group in person.
