Nurturing Children’s Mental Health: A Role for Everyone

One of the goals of CCFH’s READY (Responsive Early Access for Durham’s Young Children) Project has been to raise public awareness related to early childhood development and mental health. With that goal in mind, READY Project has just released a one minute video emphasizing simple and proven ways everyone can play a role in nurturing children’s wellbeing.

An English and a Spanish-language version of this professionally produced video will be available on CCFH’s YouTube channel. Though it is only about a minute long and intentionally uses everyday language, the video was informed by an extensive information-gathering process involving Durham parents, READY Project partners, and expert sources. At the end of the video, viewers are invited to visit the Nurturing Durham website (another READY Project awareness-building tool) to learn more about early childhood mental health and some of the resources available to support families in the Durham community.

We encourage you to watch, share and show this video anywhere there’s an opportunity to raise awareness about early childhood mental health.
