In May, the City of Durham invited residents to decide how to spend $1 million for nonprofits addressing racial, economic, and social injustices in a process called Participatory Budgeting.
The votes have been tallied and the Center for Child & Family Health is among the grant recipients in the Health and Human Services category! The Urbaniak Clinic at CCFH will receive $49,415 to increase access to evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment for children ages 0-6 in under-served or marginalized Durham families.
CCFH is grateful to both the City of Durham for opening its budgeting process to citizens and to everyone who took time to vote for CCFH’s proposal and spread the word around Durham. Thank you for helping ensure that our youngest neighbors have a healthy future ahead of them!
