“ One of the most fulfilling parts [was] seeing our outreach translate into real support for an organization we care deeply about. I’m so grateful for the partnership with CCFH and proud to support the impactful work they do in our community. ”
- Emma Thomas, 2025 Shamrock Committee PR Chair

DETAILS

Shamrock is an annual fundraising campaign supported by every national Kappa Delta chapter to fight child abuse and support families going through abuse-related trauma. The local chapter of Kappa Delta’s annual fundraising efforts culminate in their 33rd annual 5K race.

Some 80 percent of the race proceeds support CCFH, while 20 percent is donated to a national leader in child abuse prevention, Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA). With nearly $100,000 raised last year, UNC’s KD chapter remains one of the largest supporters of our Healthy Future’s Fund, which supports clinical treatment for survivors of abuse and neglect.
