Get your running shoes ready! The Annual Shamrock ‘N’ Run 5k returns Saturday, January 28th to benefit CCFH and families across the Triangle and you’re invited to run with us!
Shamrock is an annual fundraising campaign supported by every national Kappa Delta chapter to fight child abuse and support families going through abuse-related trauma. Our local chapter of Kappa Delta’s annual fundraising efforts culminate in an annual 5k race. We are so excited to host the 30th annual Shamrock 5k, which will be hosted in-person this year on January 28, 2023.
Twenty percent of the proceeds from our race benefit the national leader in child abuse prevention, Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA), and eighty percent of the proceeds stay local, benefitting the Center for Child and Family Health (CCFH) in Durham, North Carolina. With over $100,000 raised last year, our chapter remains one of CCFH’s largest donors to their Healthy Future’s Fund which supports prevention programs and clinical treatment for survivors of abuse and neglect. We are so honored to support the work of PCAA and CCFH every year in the fight to ensure every child grows up in a safe and healthy environment.
We appreciate your support for our 2023 fundraising efforts to support healthy futures for children and families! We hope to see you on Race Day in January!
