Hi, my name is Tracy Dell’Angela, and I’m thrilled to join a team of professionals committed to doing so much to transform the lives of children in my new community. I spent the first half of my career as a newspaper reporter inspired to fix what was broken in our society and took that passion to the nonprofit sector, where I served in leadership roles largely focused on educational inequities, most recently as an executive director in the Chicago area. I moved to Durham last summer with my husband, Peter, and my big-eared hiking companion, Zahra, and I’m the proud mama of two amazing adult daughters. I love hot yoga, cool music festivals, fixing things around the house and reading. I am three states shy of visiting all 50 U.S. states and still trying to master conversational Spanish.
