Donna B. Newberne is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS), Mental Health Clinic Director and NC CTP Faculty at the Center for Child and Family Health (CCFH) in Durham, NC. She has over 20 years of clinical experience working with traumatized children and families and 14 years of experience providing clinical supervision. Donna provides direct clinical services in an outpatient trauma specialty clinic, clinical and administrative oversight for a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals and interns of various disciplines.

She is a Master Trainer for Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) and has trained hundreds of other mental health professionals to deliver evidence based treatments in North Carolina and across the United States. Her passions include working with adolescents to assist them in learning more effective ways of coping, problem-solving and communicating, advancing the art and science of culturally responsive and sensitive clinical supervision and inspiring future generations of mental health professionals through teaching and training opportunities. She very much enjoys her roles as clinician, administrator, mentor and advocate.

In her time away from work, Donna enjoys time reading thought-provoking books, cooking, entertaining her friends, spending time with her husband, children and dog, sunny days by the ocean and glamping by RV.
